Three of the Biggest Lies from the Vice Presidential Debate

The Vice Presidential debate was a little better than the first Presidential debate, but it wasn’t great by any means.

There were a lot of questions that were never answered and there were a lot of lies told by Kamala Harris.

During the debate, Harris told a number of lies, but I’d like to take a moment just to highlight some of the biggest.

One of the biggest lies that is still being repeated by Democrats is that President Trump called the coronavirus a hoax. This is of course not true and if it were, then they would have provided the sound byte to prove it.

Harris also claimed that President Trump called neo-Nazis shouting out racial and anti-Semitic slurs fine people in that he said there “were fine people on both sides.”

This is misleading because while he did say that there were fine people on both sides, it’s because not everyone was a neo-Nazi or a racist. Just because someone wants to protect out history and not vandalize property doesn’t make them racist.

We know that the President has denounced these groups many many times.

Finally, and probably the most deceptive was Harris’ fabricated retelling of President Abraham Lincoln’s waiting to appoint a Supreme Court nominee until after the election in 1864.

Harris said,“I’m so glad we went through a little history lesson. Let’s do that a little more. “In 1864 … Abraham Lincoln was up for reelection. And it was 27 days before the election. And a seat became open on the United States Supreme Court. Abraham Lincoln’s party was in charge not only of the White House but the Senate. But Honest Abe said, ‘It’s not the right thing to do. The American people deserve to make the decision about who will be the next president of the United States, and then that person will be able to select who will serve on the highest court of the land.’”

I could tell that she was making it up on the fly (no pun intended). Sure, the got some of the facts right, but what she suggests that President Lincoln said and how he felt about filling the seat has zero basis whatsoever.

In reality, it’s probably because the Senate wasn’t even in session until December and therefore couldn’t confirm an appointment anyway. There would have been no point in naming someone before the election. In fact, it seems to be no coincidence that Lincoln nominated someone the day after the Senate was back in session.

Aside from that, he told his aides he wouldn’t nominate anyone immediately, because he was “waiting to receive expressions of public opinion from the country,” according to historian Michael Burlingame in “Lincoln: A Life.”

BREAKING! Group Arrested After Foiled Plot to Kidnap and Kill Governor (VIDEO)

You normally only see this sort of thing coming from Democrats, but it looks like this time it some hardcore conservatives have taken things too far. That is, if you believe the storyline.

Honestly, I wouldn’t put it past the Democrats one bit to stage this whole thing in a poor effort to make President Trump look bad.

“I think this was a blessing from God that I caught it. This is a blessing in disguise,” Trump said in a video on Twitter.
