CNN anchor Dana Bash pressed Rep. Jasmine Crockett on Sunday with her own past words about Donald Trump.
Bash played clips of the Texas Democrat calling Trump America’s “enemy” and even a “wannabe Hitler.” She then asked whether being in Congress came with a duty to show restraint in language.
Crockett didn’t back down. She argued her remarks were “accurate” and said Trump’s actions came straight from Hitler’s “playbook.”
The congresswoman then shifted to the late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. Crockett alleged that Kirk had pushed rhetoric about “who should live and who should die.”
The tense exchange highlighted Crockett’s refusal to soften her past criticism, even under direct questioning.
Natalie Sandoval of the Daily Caller later broke down the segment for Media Madness, noting how the clash underscored the divide over Trump, rhetoric, and responsibility in public office.
