Republican Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw denied threatening to kill Tucker Carlson. But a video posted Monday by GB News reporter Steven Edginton tells a different story.
Early Monday, Edginton accused Crenshaw of making the threat after their February interview.
“After our interview I asked Dan Crenshaw if he had ever met Tucker Carlson,” Edginton tweeted. “He said: ‘I would kill him if I saw him.’ I laughed it off. He said: ‘No seriously, I would kill him.’”
Crenshaw quickly denied the claim. When Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene asked if he threatened Carlson, he responded, “lol, no.”
About 30 minutes later, GB News released a video of the conversation. Edginton wasted no time retweeting it.
“Have you ever met Tucker?” Edginton asked as they removed their microphones.
“No, we’ve talked a lot on Twitter. If I ever meet him, I’ll fucking kill him,” Crenshaw said in the clip.
Edginton laughed, but Crenshaw didn’t back down. “No, seriously, I’ll kill him. He’s the worst person I’ve ever met.”
A Dan Crenshaw spokesperson dismissed the remark, saying, “No, of course not.”
