McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski just revealed his all-time favorite menu item — and it’s a fan favorite that made a big comeback this year.
In a lighthearted video on his LinkedIn page, Kempczinski participated in the “McDonald’s Menu Item Tournament,” a bracket challenge where he had to choose between some of the chain’s biggest hits — from the Big Mac to the McNuggets.
“We’re going to do a quick-fire McDonald’s menu item tournament to determine your favorite,” an off-camera voice said as the game began.
The CEO worked his way through the list, first picking the Egg McMuffin over the Big Mac, but quickly favoring McDonald’s iconic fries — which he chose over the Egg McMuffin, McCrispy sandwich, and Filet-O-Fish. When it came down to fries versus Chicken McNuggets, he called it a “tough” call before siding with the McNuggets.
From there, McNuggets beat out the McCrispy Strips, but Kempczinski then went with the Vanilla Cone next — only for it to lose to the Quarter Pounder with Cheese. Finally, the last round came down to the Quarter Pounder versus the Snack Wrap.
“The winner is Snack Wrap!” the video concluded.
While McDonald’s fries dominated most of the tournament, it was the Snack Wrap that ultimately took the crown. The crispy chicken favorite officially returned to menus nationwide in July after nearly a decade off the lineup — and apparently, it’s even the boss’s top pick.
