HomePolitical NewsWATCH: Pete Buttigieg Says it Should be Legal to Not Tell Your Partner You HIV Mike November 23, 2019 Should it be a crime to not tell your partner you have HIV? Of course it should be. No one can disagree with that, right? Wrong. According to a Vox article published this week, laws that have passed that make it illegal to not disclose your HIV status “have only increased stigma and abuse.” Unsurprisingly there are many 2020 Democrats who agree with this insane idea. I need to give Vox more credit. It manages to always get worse than it is. That’s a real skill… pic.twitter.com/KB0U2ilXVA — Dave Rubin (@RubinReport) October 10, 2019 Thursday night's CNN town hall focused on transgender and gay issues. It was sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign. Leftist Anderson Cooper described laws making it a crime to not disclose HIV stats to sexual partners as “antiquated” and based on “old science.” 2020 Democratic hopeful Pete Buttigieg agreed and said, “It’s not fair and it needs to change.” Sen. Cory Booker is on board as well. He completely agreed that making it a law to disclose HIV status to sexual partners as “archaic” and have “no scientific basis." He's called for the complete repeal of these laws. .@PeteButtigieg says criminal penalties for not informing a sexual partner that you are HIV-positive are "unfair and needs to change." The argument is that if the virus is undetectable it is untransmittable. pic.twitter.com/BxWFhuwmbS — Washington Examiner (@dcexaminer) October 11, 2019 This is complete insanity.
