HomeNews WireWATCH: Joe Biden Eating His Own Words After Condemning Law-Abiding Citizens Who Carry Guns to Church Editor January 1, 2020 We've all heard the tragic news by now of the man who shot and killed a church-goer at a church in Texas and how one man saved the lives of countless others by acting quickly and taking the killer down with one shot to the head. As bad as the situation is, it could have been much worse had Jack Wilson not have been carrying a pistol on him. And if Joe Biden were in charge of Texas, there would have been a lot more people dead. Just a few months ago, Biden criticized Texas Governor Greg Abbott's law that allowed church-goers who are also lawful gun owners to carry weapons in church. There is already a law for this, it's called the Second Amendment and it shall not be infringed upon. Biden said, “Dealing with firearms, it is irrational, with all due respect to the governor of Texas, irrational what they are doing,” Biden told reporters on September 2. “On the very day you see a mass shooting … and we’re talking about loosening access to have guns, to be able to take them into places of worship, it’s just absolutely irrational. It’s totally irrational.” WATCH: Joe Biden attacked the Governor of Texas for allowing church-goers to carry weapons just a few months ago pic.twitter.com/fuZmfabo5a — Jack Posobiec (@JackPosobiec) December 29, 2019 Biden was obviously wrong and this proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns and in this case, likely saved many lives. The law went into effect on September 1st. One person was injured and one worshipper was killed, as well as the gunman. “We have learned many times over that there is no such thing as a gun free zone. Those with evil intentions will violate the law and carry out their heinous acts no matter what,” Texas state Senator Donna Campbell, co-sponsor of the bill, said in a statement. “It makes no sense to disarm the good guys and leave law-abiding citizens defenseless where violent offenders break the law to do great harm.”
