Tucker Carlson is accusing Attorney General Pam Bondi’s Department of Justice of covering up Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes to protect powerful interests—possibly intelligence agencies.
Carlson made the explosive claim on The Tucker Carlson Show Tuesday, reacting to an Axios report stating that the DOJ and FBI concluded there was no “client list” left behind by Epstein. Carlson wasn’t buying it.
“They’re covering up crimes—very serious crimes,” Carlson said. “Why? There are only two real explanations I can think of.”
His first theory? That Donald Trump himself was involved. But Carlson quickly dismissed it, saying, “I’ve talked to Trump about it a lot. I know him. I don’t think he’s that guy. And if the Biden people had dirt on him, they’d have leaked it already.”
Carlson’s second—and more plausible—explanation, he said, is that U.S. and Israeli intelligence services are at the center of the Epstein scandal and are being protected.
Epstein was arrested in 2019 for sex trafficking but was found dead in his jail cell just weeks later. Officials ruled it a suicide, though the circumstances—like broken cameras and falsified guard logs—have fueled years of suspicion.
Pam Bondi told Fox News back in February she was personally reviewing the documents related to Epstein, citing a directive from President Trump. But now, the DOJ’s memo says there’s no client list and no foul play in Epstein’s death.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt tried to clarify the DOJ’s position, saying Bondi was referring to all paperwork on Epstein, not just a list. “I’ll let her speak for that,” she added.
Still, Carlson—and many Trump supporters—remain skeptical. The DOJ inspector general confirmed that key surveillance cameras were inoperable. For Carlson and others, that’s more than just a coincidence—it’s a cover-up.
