Tucker Carlson and Glenn Greenwald couldn’t stop laughing about CNN’s late-stage discovery of President Joe Biden’s mental decline.
During a recent episode of “The Tucker Carlson Show,” the two mocked Jake Tapper’s new book, Original Sin, which lays out Biden’s cognitive slide. Carlson joked that Greenwald had been “scooped” by CNN.
“So it must be a little weird to get scooped by CNN on Joe Biden’s dementia, like you had no idea,” Carlson said. “None of us knew.”
Greenwald played along. “There was that debate, and we were all shocked, but we were told he had a cold,” he said. “I thought, ‘OK, he’s groggy from cold meds.’ But now, Jake Tapper has uncovered the truth—it turns out Joe Biden was in cognitive decline.”
Sources told Tapper and co-author Alex Thompson that Biden’s condition worsened so much aides even considered using a wheelchair. The news came as a surprise to no one—except CNN.
Carlson joked about how Tapper must’ve “investigated” the story. Greenwald laughed, “Hardcore shoe leather reporting. Digging up FOIA docs. Working his sources. Classic stuff.”
But Greenwald got serious. “Jake Tapper is pretending to uncover a scandal he helped cover up. He wouldn’t let anyone question Biden’s mental state. Now he’s cashing in.”
He pointed to Tapper’s 2020 interview with Lara Trump. When she questioned Biden’s fitness, Tapper fired back, accusing her of mocking a stutter.
He did the same to Dean Phillips in 2024, brushing off the Democrat’s concerns about Biden running again.
“Tapper desperately wanted Biden to win,” Greenwald said. “Now he’s making millions off a story he buried. And Biden’s response? He reportedly said he could ‘beat the hell out of’ the two journalists.”
