Trump Struggles With ‘Very Hard’ Question About Kamala Harris

Former President Trump had some surprising words for Vice President Kamala Harris at a Univision town hall. This came after she struggled to say anything nice about him during her own recent town hall.

The town hall ended on a lighter note when a Hispanic voter asked Trump to name “three virtues” about Harris. Trump joked, “That’s a very hard question.” He added, “That’s the toughest question. The other ones are easy! I’m not a fan, I’m not a fan. I think she’s harmed our country horribly, horribly — at the border, with inflation, with so many other things.”

Trump acknowledged Harris’s resilience, saying, “But she seems to have an ability to survive.” He pointed out her comeback after dropping out of the race, noting, “That’s a great ability that some people have and some people don’t have.”

He elaborated, “She seems to have some pretty longtime friendships… I don’t call that an ability. I call that a good thing.” He recognized her demeanor, saying, “I like the way, you know, some of her statements, some of her- the way she behaves in a certain way.” But he didn’t shy away from criticism, adding, “But in another way, I think it’s very bad for our country.”

Last week, Harris faced a similar question from the same voter about Trump. She responded with an awkward laugh and said, “Let me start with this… Based on a life experience, I know that the vast majority of us have so much more in common than what separates us.”

She criticized Trump’s divisive approach, stating, “And part of what pains me is the approach that, frankly, Donald Trump and some others have taken.” Harris emphasized that the rhetoric, which belittles and instills fear, is not healthy for the nation.

After a pause, she offered, “I think Donald Trump loves his family. And I think that’s very important.” She acknowledged the significance of family in one’s priorities.

However, she concluded, “But I don’t really know him, to be honest with you.” She shared her limited experience with him, saying, “I only met him one time on the debate stage. I’d never met him before, so I don’t really have much more to offer you.”
