Trump Blasts ‘Low IQ’ Democrat as Possible ‘Future of the Party’

President Donald Trump took direct aim at Rep. Jasmine Crockett during an interview that aired Sunday on Meet the Press. Trump didn’t hold back when asked about the current state of the Democratic Party. “They’re in total disarray,” he said.

“They have a new person named Crockett. I watched her speak the other day—she’s definitely a low-IQ person,” Trump told host Kristen Welker. “And they said she’s the future of the party. I said you have to be kidding.”

Crockett, a Texas Democrat, has become a vocal figure in the party’s media presence. She gained national attention after a heated clash with Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene during a House Oversight Committee hearing in May. She’s also known for using profanity in hearings and referring to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott as “Governor Hot Wheels.”

Trump used the moment to criticize broader Democratic leadership, claiming the party lacks viable candidates. “I really believe in a two-party system,” he said. “It’s good to be challenged… but they have nobody.”

He targeted familiar names like Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders and President Joe Biden. “Bernie’s 87 years old or something,” Trump said, before turning his fire on the president. “Biden is the worst thing that ever happened to old people.”

Sanders has been traveling with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on a national “anti-oligarchy” tour focused on criticizing Trump and White House senior advisor Elon Musk. Trump dismissed Sanders’ tour and persona in typical blunt fashion.

“He’s a nutjob,” Trump said. “But he’s still sharp… he’s the same guy as he was. He hasn’t gone down.”

In contrast, Trump painted Biden as mentally diminished. “He’s really, he’s the worst thing to happen to old people,” Trump added, repeating the jab for emphasis. The segment drew immediate reaction online, with supporters and critics weighing in.

The comments are likely to escalate the ongoing war of words between Trump and Democratic firebrands. Crockett, known for her willingness to engage Republican critics, has yet to respond publicly.
