Tearful Salon Owner Says Nancy Pelosi 'Owes the Entire Country an Apology'

Salon Owner Erica Kious spoke to a Zoom press conference on Thursday. During it she addressed Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi saying she was lying and saying she was "set up," and the salon owner should apologize to America and to small business owners who are struggling.

Pelosi has been the target of angry Californians after she was caught on a surveillance camera attending Kious's salon for a private, indoor hair appointment. This was against the rules of San Francisco and Alameda counties.

Speaker Pelosi was ripped for not following the strict rules created by the Democratic Party. Pelosi's spokesperson said she was unaware of breaking the rules and put the blame on the salon.

Nancy's daughter, Christine, took things a step further and published an official letter that accuses Kious of acting out of her political motives.

On Thursday Kious fired back. She strongly denies Pelosi's "assertion that she is a victim and was set up” and that the claim was “totally false and outrageous.”

The tearful salon owner added:

For the Speaker of the House of the United States to go on TV and falsely claim she was set up, and publicly defame me and send out PR firms to spin more lies … is bad enough, but for Speaker Pelosi to frame herself as a victim under a total false narrative while small businesses and workers all over California, the state she represents in Congress, suffer and struggle just to survive is beyond shameful.

I don’t owe anyone an apology; Mrs. Pelosi owes the entire country an apology.

The real motive for Kious, and all other salon owners, is to be able to reopen their businesses so they can survive.

Kious said that Pelosi's actions provide these Draconian rules are not necessary for safety.
