HomeNews WireSNL Actually Mocks Democrats for Once and It's Hilarious! Editor November 27, 2019 Most media outlets today are highly liberal and their tv shows frequently show their bias. Saturday Night Live is notorious for making practically every segment of their show politically based and letting their bias show through WAY too much, often mocking the President with Alec Balwin's impersonation. But for once, SNL actually did a skit poking fun at the Democrats and the last presidential debate between them. I'm not a fan of SNL because of their hatred of conservatives, but I must admit that this skit was funny. Among the celebrity cast representing the Democratic candidates were Andrew Yang (Bowen Yang), Pete Buttigieg (Colin Jost), Cory Booker (Chris Redd), Elizabeth Warren (Kate McKinnon), Amy Klobuchar (Rachel Dratch), Tom Steyer (Will Ferrell), Michael Bloomberg (Fred Armisen), Tulsi Gabbard (Cecily Strong) Bernie Sanders (Larry David), Joe Biden (Woody Harrelson) and Kamala Harris (Maya Rudolph). In her impersonation of Warren, McKinnon dramatically raised her hand and reached over her podium to be the first candidate to answer the question. “I know in past debates I was accused of being over-ambitious,” she said. “I’ve got ‘Mom hosting Thanksgiving’ energy. I’m a little overwhelmed because I thought 10 people were coming and now there’s 30 million, but I promise dinner will be ready if you just get out of the kitchen and stop asking questions.” “The fun is back, America’s fun aunt. I’m also America’s cool aunt,” Rudolph joked as she portrayed Harris. “I’m not going to worry about the polling numbers. I’m just going to have fun and see if I can get some viral moments. Mama needs a GIF. Gonna tell my kids this was Michelle Obama.” (BuzzFeed) Larry David does the most spot-on impersonation of Bernie Sanders. He always does. Truthfully, if SNL could just ease up with all the skits showing hatred of Trump, the show would be better off for it and they may even bring back some viewers who have stopped watching the show.
