President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order creating a White House Faith Office on Friday.
The office will support faith-based groups, community organizations, and places of worship. It aims to help them serve families and communities more effectively, according to a fact sheet from Fox News.
It will be part of the Domestic Policy Council and will consult faith leaders. The goal is to align policy changes with American values.
The office will work with other agencies on religious liberty training. It will also boost grant opportunities for faith-based non-profits, community groups, and churches.
It will collaborate with the Justice Department to ensure constitutional protections for religious liberty. This includes identifying key legal safeguards for faith-based organizations.
Trump’s order follows another one he signed just a day earlier. That order created a task force to address “anti-Christian bias.”
The White House says the new “Task Force to End the War on Christians” will include Cabinet members and key officials. Its mission is to stop the “anti-Christian weaponization of government.”
This comes after pro-life Christians were charged for protesting outside abortion clinics during the Biden administration. Trump already pardoned 23 pro-life protesters in his first week back in office.
