HomeNews WireObama Warns He Would Step In To Stop This Candidate If They Win The Nomination Editor November 28, 2019 How can Democrats be so hypocritical? They want to attack anybody and everybody who they think is interfering or could interfere in the upcoming election, but fail to hold themselves to that same standard. Former President Barack Obama issued a warning not very long ago to the Democrats. He cautioned them to no go too far left in their policies. Is seems like good advice right? Obviously, the candidates running have ignored that advice completely. However, a new report seems to suggest that maybe that wasn't just a bit of helpful advice, but rather a threat. It looks like Obama wasn't just offering helpful advice, but rather a threat as he has said that he's willing to step in and do something if Bernie Sanders wins the nomination. Isn't this interfering in an election? According to The Daily Wire, “Back when Sanders seemed like more of a threat than he does now, Obama said privately that if Bernie were running away with the nomination, Obama would speak up to stop him,” Politico reports. Sources close to Obama confirmed for Lizza that the former president, who campaigned on a far-left platform but governed further towards the middle (though, still, substantially left of center), doesn’t view Sanders as a Democrat, and that, were Sanders to come close to snagging the all-important Democratic nod, Obama, who views himself as a “guardrail” and conscience for the party, would use his influence to reroute the nomination. “He hasn’t said that directly to me,” an unidentified advisor told Lizza. “The only reason I’m hesitating at all is because, yeah, if Bernie were running away with it, I think maybe we would all have to say something. But I don’t think that’s likely. It’s not happening.” I really don't know what Obama thinks that he would be able to do if he wins the Democratic nomination. Is he planning on trying to do like Hillary did and rig the entire DNC so that Bernie doesn't win…again? At this point, Bernie isn't even looking as bad as the rest of the field.
