Muslims Offended Over What This Farmer Raises On Land He Owns

A pig farmer in Katy, Texas, was upset when an Islamic group moved nearby and then approached the man asking him to leave the area.

Craig Baker reported that when the Katy Islamic Association moved into his area, they demanded that the pigs on his farm needed to go. Baker wasn't going to cave into the pressure and instead decided to arrange pig races on his property every Friday, the day Muslims devote as a day of prayer.

The association planned to build a mosque and community center on the 11 acres they bought next to Baker’s farm. Baker said the association knew what they were signing up for when they bought the property, and that it wasn’t fair of them to ask him to remove his pigs or move.

“I am just defending my rights and my property,” he told Fox News. “They totally disrespected me and my family.”

Baker and the Islamic association’s president, Kamel Fotouh, were friendly when they first met, but since then Baker said he has felt very insulted by Fotouh's request for him to move.

“That was the last straw for me … calling me a liar, especially in front of three or four hundred people at that meeting. Mr. Fotouh said it would be a good idea if I considered packing up my stuff and moving out further to the country,” said Baker.

Many followers of the incident on social media and the news cheered Baker for standing his ground and not backing down to the group.

One person commented on Facebook, “He was there first. Can't just tell somebody to move especially when it's been his family farm for a long time just because you bought some property next door don't give you no right. I would have done the same damn thing. You don't come over here and start demanding you're lucky we allow you here.”

Another said, “Stand your ground farmer don't let no Muslim run you off your land. They don't have the right, Americans still have rights in America they don't own this land we still do…tell THEM if they DON'T like it, they can take a f*cking hike back to where they can from, buy more pigs.”

“Good job Mr Baker. They will just try to push you off your land. I would be having pancakes and ham and bacon every day. Pig roast every chance I had. Those people think they have more rights than anyone else. And they will try to change you to muslem. You should be a great neighbor and take them a potluck meal of ham and beans. Wish you were my neighbor,” said another user.
