SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly says Attorney General Pam Bondi may not last much longer in the Trump administration. On Tuesday’s episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” she pointed to backlash over a recent DOJ memo on Jeffrey Epstein and criticized Bondi’s handling of the situation.
The memo, released by the DOJ and FBI, concluded that Epstein died by suicide and did not leave behind a so-called “client list.” Kelly and her guest discussed how conservative influencers, previously briefed by Bondi, now feel misled after the materials failed to reveal anything new.
“Just take a step back,” Kelly said. “What kind of attorney general pretends to be sharing bombshells with loyal supporters of the president, only to hand them information that’s already public? She either knew she was about to embarrass them — or she was too lazy to check the contents herself.”
Kelly called out the meeting Bondi held with prominent influencers, including Kash Patel and Vice President J.D. Vance. “She either willfully humiliated them or failed to vet the binders. Neither looks good. And that’s why I’m predicting her days are numbered in this administration,” Kelly said.
The memo has reignited public debate over Epstein’s 2019 death in federal custody. While it was officially ruled a suicide, Epstein’s brother and others have long suspected foul play, citing the financier’s connections to high-profile figures.
“Jeffrey knew a lot of stuff about a lot of people,” Mark Epstein said in a 2019 interview. His concerns have only intensified in the years since, especially given the limited scope of the DOJ’s document releases.
After Epstein’s death, his associate Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted in 2022 and sentenced to 20 years for her role in his trafficking ring. She remains the only person held criminally responsible in the case so far.
Trump promised during his 2024 campaign to release all Epstein and JFK files. But when a small batch of Epstein documents was shared earlier this year with conservative influencers, many voiced frustration that key evidence was missing — including flight logs and names of alleged victims.
Bondi claimed in March that the FBI had not turned over the complete set of files. She later said a new “truckload” of documents arrived from the Southern District of New York after she issued a deadline. But critics, including Kelly, say the damage to Bondi’s credibility may already be done.
