Megyn Kelly Blasts Democrats Making ‘Fools Out of Themselves’ at RFK Jr Hearing

SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly took aim at Democratic senators Wednesday. She slammed them for their behavior during Health and Human Services (HHS) nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s hearing. “They made fools of themselves,” she said on her show.

Kennedy faced the Senate Finance Committee that morning. The discussion covered bipartisan issues, but tensions ran high. Some Democratic senators yelled at Kennedy during questioning. Kelly said they didn’t understand the message his supporters were sending.

“His opponents didn’t get it. Even some Republicans didn’t get it,” Kelly said. “But for the most part, they did well. A couple were annoying, which I’ll go over. But the Democrats once again made fools out of themselves.”

She compared their attacks on Kennedy to their rhetoric on Trump. “In the same way they keep looking at Trump and saying, ‘Hitler, Nazi, fascist, convicted felon.’ And everybody’s like, ‘Screw you, we have a country to save.’ That’s how I felt today watching them go after RFK [Jr.].”

“They don’t get it,” Kelly continued. The hearing room was filled with parents. “Moms with infants, with little kids, trying to send a message to these senators,” she said. “They’re done playing these ridiculous games.”

Kelly accused the senators of being influenced by Big Pharma. “Half these senators are on the take with Big Pharma, or Big Ag for that matter,” she said. “They don’t want RFK Jr. They don’t want somebody who’s been suing Big Pharma his entire career.”

During the hearing, Kennedy clashed with Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren. She accused him of wanting to profit from banning vaccines. Kennedy vowed not to take profit while in office. But he didn’t commit to avoiding it afterward, which set Warren off.

Kelly said lawmakers were “smearing him.” They didn’t go after his personal life. Instead, they focused on his vaccine stance.

“But they, man, are obsessed with his stance on vaccines. Obsessed,” she said. “Either unwilling or unable to see what he really feels about them.”

“He doesn’t talk about banning at all,” she added. “He’s very against vaccine mandates. In some cases, he wants more research before we push these vaccines on kids.”

In November, Kennedy told NBC News he wouldn’t take vaccines away. He said Americans should have the choice. During his hearing, he repeated that vaccines “play a critical role in healthcare.”
