Liberal Twitter and Cancel Culture Try To Cancel Marine Vet Adam Driver

The cancel culture has stuck again. They must be getting tired of sitting at home and doing nothing so they decided to create some drama.

This time they're going after actor Adam Driver who is best known for his role as Kylo Ren in the movie Star Wars.

Earlier this week, #AdamDriverIsOverParty was trending on Twitter. The cancel culture's cries were so loud at calling for the death of Adam Driver's career that the hashtag was actually trending. The thing is, what he said that has led to this wasn't even bad.

This stemmed from an interview Driver did with The New Yorker in which he discussed joining the Marines after 9/11 and said that he had a desire for retribution against those who carried out the attacks.

"After 9/11, he found himself filled with a desire for retribution, although he wasn’t sure against what or whom. 'It wasn’t against Muslims,' [Driver] said. 'It was: We were attacked. I want to fight for my country against whoever that is.'"

Well, just that alone was enough to set off the cancel culture and call for his career to be "canceled".

Notably, at the time of this writing, nearly all tweets using the hashtag are from fans coming to Driver's defense. "Why is this a thing. He's probably one of the least controversial people out there," one tweet using the hashtag read. Producer and novelist Kamran Pasha (Kings, Bionic Woman) tweeted, "Adam Driver is one of the finest actors of our generation, and a decent and honorable man by all accounts. As a Muslim filmmaker working in Hollywood, he has my full support. With everything happening in the world, today is not the day for an #AdamDriverIsOverParty."

Driver was medically discharged from the Marines and later enrolled in The Julliard School. Fans defending Driver have pointed out that he starred in the 2019 film The Report, which is about the real-life investigation into the CIA's Detention and Interrogation Program established in the wake of 9/11. A few also praised Driver for founding the non-profit Arts in the Armed Forces, which helps veterans find careers in the performing arts.

Stop the Panic, End the Lockdown

While COVID-19 has taken lives, we cannot allow it to ruin the lives of those still living…which FAR outweighs the number of deaths.

The fact of the matter is that most people will not catch the virus. As the numbers continue rolling in, we see that it is comparable to the flu. Thousands die from the flu every year, while many people have never even caught it once in their lifetime. I am 26 years old and I've never had it once.
