Kid Rock Responds to Reports of ICE Targeting Employees at His Restaurant

Kid Rock is standing firm in his support for former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, even after an incident at his own restaurant involving rumored ICE raids.

On May 10, Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse in Nashville closed early. Managers reportedly told workers without legal status to leave ahead of alleged ICE enforcement in the area. Taste Of Country reported that the kitchen was cleared out.

Following the incident, Kid Rock issued a statement on May 19, distancing himself from the restaurant’s operations while doubling down on his stance. “Clearly I do not have anything to do with day to day operations at my Honky Tonk – but it’s good click bait, I get it,” he wrote on X.

He made clear he supported Trump’s immigration efforts. “That being said I 100% support getting illegal criminals out of our country no matter where they are,” he said. That included his own business, if it were found to be hiring undocumented workers.

Kid Rock also echoed Trump’s call to welcome legal immigrants more efficiently. “I also like President Trump want to speed up the process of getting GREAT immigrants into our country – LEGALLY!”

He took aim at critics on the left who cheered the situation. “It’s that simple folks,” he said, pushing back on the idea that Trump’s policies were backfiring on his own base.

“The below is not a juicy enough headline to get clicks and views… in this day and age the truth often is not,” he added, with a shrug emoji.

It remains unclear whether any workers at the restaurant were undocumented, or if ICE actually conducted raids nearby.
