HomeNews WireKanye West Really Is Running for President, Here's the Platform He's Running On Editor July 10, 2020 I'll be quite honest, I really do like Kanye West. I haven't always liked him though. I remember just a few years ago I thought the guys was completely insane, and maybe he was then. Now I truly believe that he is a genuine born-again believer in Jesus Christ. Just this month, Kanye announced that he was going to be running for President. Most people aren't so sure that he is actually going to, but it seems that he really is. He has a campaign slogan, a vice presidential pick, a platform, and a party. I know some of this is going to sound like a joke, but as far as I can tell, it's very real. His campaign slogan is simply, "YES!", which seems to play off of Obama's "Yes We Can". The vice president would be Michelle Tidball, who has said that she doesn't watch the news. How is she going to be able to serve as Vice President if she is ignorant of what is going on in the world? His party? You're going to love this, the "Birthday" party. And then, his platform is based off of the Wakanda Management Model. If that sounds familiar to you, it's because it's taken from the move 'Black Panther'. Kanye explained this about his Wakanda framework platform: “A lot of Africans do not like the movie [Black Panther] and representation of themselves in… Wakanda. But I’m gonna’ use the framework of Wakanda right now because it’s the best explanation of what our design group is going to feel like in the White House… That is a positive idea: you got Kanye West, one of the most powerful humans—I’m not saying the most because you got a lot of alien level superpowers and it’s only collectively that we can set it free. Let’s get back to Wakanda… like in the movie in Wakanda when the king went to visit that lead scientist to have the shoes wrap around her shoes. Just the amount of innovation that can happen, the amount of innovation in medicine — like big pharma — we are going to work, innovate, together.” I don't think that he's going to sway too many Republican voters because he doesn't have a good enough plan for policies to bring them over. At the same time, I do think that his platform is enough to draw a large amount of Democrats who aren't wanting to vote for Joe Biden. It's all coming together rather nicely.
