Kamala Harris’ First Solo Interview Dubbed an ‘absolute train wreck’

Social media users are saying Vice President Kamala Harris doesn’t have what it takes to be president.

Her recent solo interview with Philadelphia’s 6 ABC anchor Brian Taff has gone viral. Critics called her answers long and lacking in substance, especially about economic policies.

People on X, including digital strategist Greg Price, were not impressed. He tweeted, “Oh my goodness this is an absolute train wreck,” referencing the interview.

The backlash centered around one particular answer. When asked about her plans to provide economic relief, she gave a lengthy response about growing up middle class.

Taff had asked for specific policies to lower costs for Pennsylvanians. Harris started by talking about her upbringing, saying, “I grew up a middle-class kid. My mother raised my sister and me.”

It wasn’t until later in her response that she mentioned a “$50,000 tax deduction” for start-up businesses and a “$25,000 down payment assistance” for home buyers.

Many users on X found her answer unsatisfying. Daily Wire reporter Ryan Saavedra said the interview showed her as nervous, unprepared, and “kind of scary” heading into an election.

Culture reporter Matt Kadish tweeted, “Usually, going through the primary process weeds out the people who aren’t ready for prime time. Womp, Womp.”

Author Tim Murtaugh noted there was no defense from Democrat accounts on social media, while the Trump War Room X account mocked her for repeating the same talking points about growing up middle class.
