Investigation Opened Against Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg Following Election Stunt

Of all of the Democratic candidates during the race for who was going to win the nomination, there were some horrible candidates.

But one of the worst had to have been Former Mayor of New York City Michael Bloomberg.

He wasn't the worst in the sense of his political leaning, but his performance was lacking…well…everything.

You may recall the moment which I believe ended any chance of him winning the nomination (though I never really believed he stood a chance. He thought he could just buy the election.

During the Democratic debates, Senator Elizabeth Warren said,

“I hope you heard what [Bloomberg’s] defense was, ‘I’ve been nice to some women.' That just doesn’t cut it. The mayor has to stand on his record, and what we need to know is exactly what is lurking out there. He has gotten some number of women, dozens, who knows, to sign non-disclosure agreements both for sexual harassment and for gender discrimination in the workplace.”

“So, Mr. Mayor, are you willing to release all of those women from those non-disclosure agreements so we can hear their side of the story?” Warren asked as the crowd cheered.

“We have very few non-disclosure agreements,” Bloomberg answered before being cut off.

“How many is that?” Warren pressed.

“Let me finish,” Bloomberg snapped.

“How many is that?” Warren again pressed.

None of them accuse me of doing anything other than maybe they didn’t like a joke I told…” Bloomberg responded.

You could definitely tell that the crowd was shocked by hearing his response.

But now, there is actually an investigation into Bloomberg after a recent stunt he pulled in which he is pledging to help felons pay fines in exchange for voting for Joe Biden.

Florida‘s Republican attorney general on Wednesday urged the FBI and state authorities to investigate former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg‘s pledge to spend $16 million helping convicted felons regain their voting rights in the nation’s largest swing state.

The attorney general, Ashley Moody, said in a letter to top law enforcement officials that she was asked by Gov. Ron DeSantis, another Republican, to review the donation Bloomberg announced on Tuesday. Moody said she quickly decided additional scrutiny was warranted.

“After preliminarily reviewing this limited public information and law, it appears further investigation is warranted. Accordingly, I request that your agencies further investigate the matter and take appropriate steps as merited,” Moody said in a letter.
