Megyn Kelly is calling out her former employer, NBC News, for refusing to learn from its mistakes on transgender coverage. On her SiriusXM show Tuesday, she said legacy outlets like NBC continue to ignore biological realities. And she admitted—she was once part of the problem.
“I worked at NBC. I was part of the problem while there,” Kelly said on The Megyn Kelly Show. “It was 2018, and I should have known better.” She said the media was already pushing gender ideology—and she regrets going along with it.
“NBC has learned nothing,” she added. “They’ve ignored the explosion of this ideology among kids and the data we now have.” Kelly pointed to research showing the effects of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones on fertility and sexual function.
She slammed NBC for refusing to use biologically accurate language. “It’s all about affirmation or you’re a bigot,” Kelly said. “They won’t use basic terms like ‘daughter’ or correct pronouns.” She said this is part of a bigger problem in the media.
Kelly praised attorney Julie Hamill for pushing back on CNN over the weekend. Hamill had confronted anchor Brianna Keilar during a segment about transgender athlete AB Hernandez. Keilar referred to Hernandez as “her,” prompting Hamill to question who that meant.
Kelly played the clip and applauded Hamill’s direct approach. “That’s how it’s done,” she said. Hernandez, a biological male who identifies as female, was allowed to compete in California’s high school girls’ track and field championship.
The decision drew backlash from parents—and now the federal government. On May 27, President Trump warned California Gov. Gavin Newsom that the state could lose federal funding over the issue. He signed an executive order in February banning biological males from competing in women’s sports.
The Department of Education has also stepped in. States that don’t comply could face investigations. The battle over transgender policy and biological truth is heating up—and Kelly’s making it clear which side she’s on.
