Piers Morgan pushed back against Democratic strategist Julie Roginsky’s claim that Donald Trump might not be mentally well.
Democrats have floated wild theories about Trump. James Carville even suggested syphilis could explain Trump’s meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. On “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Roginsky questioned Trump’s mental state. Morgan wasn’t having it.
“I don’t think Donald Trump is particularly mentally well. You may agree with me or disagree with me on that,” Roginsky said.
Morgan shot back immediately. “I couldn’t disagree more. Trump to me is exactly the same. He’s exactly the same. You may not like it. He’s exactly the same Donald Trump I’ve known for 20 years. Honestly, it’s like the same guy I met on day one.”
Morgan pressed her for proof.
Roginsky struggled to answer. “Because he is. He just is. Tell me. Because he’s not with it the way he used to be. He’s not with it the way he used to be,” she said.
Morgan wasn’t buying it. “You’re the one making the allegations. I’ve seen no evidence he’s not with it at all,” he replied.
Roginsky tried to steer the conversation toward Joe Biden. Morgan didn’t let her. He refocused on Trump.
“You just said Donald Trump is mentally unwell. I’m just saying what’s the evidence? The guy is 78 years old,” Morgan said. “He still does two-hour press conferences. He does two-hour rallies. He does endless off-the-cuff media encounters way more than any of his predecessors. For a guy who’s [supposedly] got mental problems, that’s pretty bold.”
Roginsky held her ground. Stamina, she argued, doesn’t prove mental wellness.
“Just because he’s able to have the stamina to do that does not mean that he comports himself as somebody who is mentally well. You and I can agree or disagree on that,” she said.
While Democrats speculated about Trump’s mind, it was Biden who drew real concerns. Bob Woodward’s book War revealed that top donors worried about Biden’s mental state as early as June 2023.
Nearly a year later, Biden struggled to form sentences in a debate against Trump. That disaster led to his replacement by Kamala Harris. To this day, Harris dodges questions about what she knew regarding Biden’s cognitive issues.
