Fox News Reporter CAUGHT On Hot Mic Comparing COVID-19 Mortality Rate to Flu with NYT Photographer, ‘So It Was A Hoax?’ (VIDEO)

It's growing increasingly difficult to really know what to believe anymore regarding the coronavirus.

Is it really as deadly as everyone has been saying? Is this nothing more than another flu?

If you've ever tuned in online to one of the White House press conferences before they actually go live, you'll sometimes be able to see people there setting up or because of things lately, you'll see them taking temperatures.

Also every once in a while you'll be able to hear what they're talking about.

Fox News reporter John Roberts and New York Times photographer Doug Mills were caught on a hot mic talking about the coronavirus and recent data that will have you really questioning everything.

“What do you know, buddy?” Mills asks Roberts, who tells him “You can take off the mask, the case fatality rate is 0.1 to 0.3 according to USC.”

Roberts was referencing a study that evaluated tests on a representative sample of 863 L.A. County residents. Roberts’ offhand advice — also potentially exaggerated for humorous effect — to “take off the mask” is not included in L.A. County public health officials’ findings from the study, which include the need to continue “broad social distancing measures.”

“Really? That’s reassuring,” Mills tells Roberts, then cracks “Everybody here has been vaccinated anyway.”

Without missing a beat, Roberts details some of the study’s findings, telling him “USC and LA County public health came out with a study that found that there are 7,000 cases in California but they really believe there are anywhere from 221, 000 to 442,000 people who are infected.”

As they both walk out of frame, Mills jokes “So it was a hoax,” to which Roberts replies “No, I don’t think it was a hoax.”

So according to a couple studies from California, it's presumed that the amount of people who have actually contracted the disease already is somewhere between 25-50 times greater than what we've been led to believe because of how many people are testing positive for having immunity to the virus.

That would mean this virus is nothing more serious than the flu if this is true.
