Former Democrat Strategist Reveals His Theory on ‘Real Reason’ His Party is ‘Very Quiet’ on Iran

Former Democrat strategist Dan Turrentine says there’s a reason his party isn’t talking much about Iran.

“It’s quiet — too quiet,” he told Fox News on Wednesday. “They’d rather talk about kings than Iran.”

Turrentine was referring to the recent “No Kings” protests held on the same day as Trump’s 79th birthday and the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary celebration. More than 1,800 demonstrations erupted nationwide, protesting Trump’s deportation policies and cuts to government programs.

Meanwhile, Israel launched hundreds of airstrikes on Iran, taking out top military leaders and nuclear scientists. Yet, many Democrats stayed silent.

“Our party is almost as divided as the Republicans,” Turrentine said on “Jesse Watters Primetime.” “They’re calculating. They’re thinking about 2028.”

He pointed to past examples — Howard Dean’s 2004 campaign against the Iraq War, and Obama using Hillary Clinton’s pro-war vote to his advantage in 2008. “Those moments still haunt the party,” he added.

Turrentine called this a moment of reckoning. “Israel is our ally. We’ve been divided over this for years. But on Iran — we’ve always been against them.”

He urged Democrats to back Trump’s position. “This isn’t about partisanship. This is about protecting America. Iran is the enemy. Always has been.”

While Turrentine called for unity, others in his party moved the opposite way. Sen. Tim Kaine pushed a war powers resolution. Sen. Bernie Sanders criticized Israel’s strikes. But with Israel escalating and Trump’s 60-day nuclear ultimatum now expired, pressure is building — fast.
