Fox News host Jesse Watters pumped his fist during a fiery segment on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”
Former Democratic campaign operative Evan Barker dropped a bold prediction. He claimed Kamala Harris will be the 2028 Democratic nominee—no matter what. The topic sparked during a conversation on Harris’ ambitions and party leadership.
“I think that there’s a segment of Democrats right now that are still behind Kamala,” Barker said. “They don’t actually want the Democratic voters to pick their own candidates, as evidenced with Bernie in 2016 and 2020, and then again in 2024.” He said Harris was handed the candidacy “on a silver platter.”
Barker doubled down. He insisted Harris will run—either for governor or president—and said she’ll secure the nomination. “She is going to run, and she will end up becoming the Democratic nominee for the president,” he said.
He claimed the party machine is already at work. Donors, PACs, and consultants are lining up. “Even if you have another really good kid on stage, they’re still going to be all of the donors and the Democratic super PACs behind her,” Barker said. “They really do have this belief that it should just go to her.”
Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett weighed in on social media. She argued that DEI mattered in the 2024 election. Crockett said Harris was dismissed due to race and gender, while voters gave a pass to an unqualified opponent.
Barker clapped back. “It is so hilarious to me that Jasmine Crockett is saying that the 2024 election is the reason that we need to support DEI,” he said. He blamed DEI itself for Democrats losing that election.
He added that panic set in behind the scenes months before Biden dropped out. “Behind the scenes, I had insiders calling me, panicking, freaking out,” Barker said. They believed Biden backed Harris due to DEI pressure—and thought it was a bad call.
President Biden withdrew from the 2024 race in July. His debate performance in June was widely criticized. He endorsed Harris, saying it was “for the good of the country.”
