Fired for Stephen A., But Winning the Internet: Ex-ESPN Star Stuns in Bikini Post

Michelle Beadle isn’t sulking after her SiriusXM exit — she’s embracing the downtime and soaking up the sun.

Last month, SiriusXM parted ways with Beadle and her co-host Cody Decker, ending their run on the “Beadle and Decker” show. The move came after Stephen A. Smith signed a new deal that expanded his presence on Mad Dog Radio, effectively bumping the pair from their time slot.

Beadle, known for her candor, didn’t hold back on air. “Welcome to the ‘Lame Duck and Who Knew?’ show here,” she quipped during one of their final episodes, while Decker shouted “fired” in the background. “All I ask is to be treated with respect,” she added. “Here we are, we’re going to do our shows because we’re contractually obligated to be here.”

She was even more blunt in a follow-up interview with Front Office Sports. “It’s a reminder: We’re just all pieces of s–t to someone. If you forgot, there it is,” Beadle said.

Despite the professional upheaval, Beadle has taken a lighthearted approach to her time off. She recently posted a photo on X of herself lying on the beach in a bikini, captioning the shot, “Now I just walk around with a towel in case an emergency beach day emerges. I’d like a travel show. Please.” In the post, she also wrote, “Let’s make it happen…”

Beadle, who previously left ESPN in 2019, has long had a contentious relationship with Stephen A. Smith. “I don’t respect his work. He doesn’t like me,” she said when reflecting on her issues with First Take.

Her departure made waves online, especially amid resurfaced controversies involving Beadle. One trending headline claimed she “accidentally” let the N-word slip on live TV, prompting backlash from NFL insider Josina Anderson.

Despite the headlines and drama, Beadle seems unfazed. She’s leaning into life after SiriusXM with humor, sun, and unfiltered commentary.

Whether she lands a travel show or simply keeps entertaining her fans online, Michelle Beadle clearly isn’t done making noise.
