HomeNews WireFar Left Democrats Turn On Obama After He Challenges Them for Being #TooFarLeft Editor November 20, 2019 Former President Barack Obama is facing some pushback from the radical left after giving some advice to the Democrats, warning them that they are going too far left with their policy proposals. I'm actually going to agree with Obama for once, as strange as it is to say that. But the Democrats really have pushed the boundaries so far not. It's almost like it's a contest to see who can be the most radical candidate rather than actually finding out what Americans want. Obama cautioned the Democratic presidential hopefuls to pay attention to what voters actually think. He said that their donors don’t want to “tear down the system” and that many Democrats “just don’t want to see crazy stuff.” That caused many in his own party to turn on him, using the hashtag #TooFarLeft. Former Hillary Clinton adviser Peter Daou took to Twitter and started the hashtag #TooFarLeft CONFESSION: I'm Too Far Left™ I'm #TooFarLeft because I want kids to be safe in school. I'm #TooFarLeft because I want people to live in dignity. I'm #TooFarLeft because I seek justice and equality. I'm #TooFarLeft because I think healthcare and housing are human rights. If being #TooFarLeft means believing: ✅ Healthcare is a human right ✅ Future generations should live on a healthy planet ✅ All student debt should be cancelled ✅ The minimum wage should be $15 ✅ Lives depend on gun reform ✅ Families don’t belong in cages Count me in! 💪🏽 If being #TooFarLeft means believing:✅ Healthcare is a human right✅ Future generations should live on a healthy planet✅ All student debt should be cancelled✅ The minimum wage should be $15✅ Lives depend on gun reform✅ Families don’t belong in cages Count me in! 💪🏽 — Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) November 16, 2019 One response to Omar's tweet which summed up the views of conservatives was posted by @Beaned If being #TooFarRight means believing: ✅ Government should stay out of our lives Count me in! If being #TooFarRight means believing:✅ Government should stay out of our lives Count me in! — Billy Quinlan (@Beaned) November 16, 2019 Let me briefly address Ilhan Omar's checklist. Healthcare is not a right. You are not entitled to people taking care of you. That is a privilege. But the real problem is that liberals want to steal money from taxpayers in order to provide everyone in the country, including non-citizens, with government-run healthcare. We should take care of our planet, but not in a way that costs $96 TRILLION that we don't even have. Every day innovative people are coming up with ways to better clean up our planet. All student debt should not be canceled. There is no such thing as free college because these professors aren't going to work for free. Someone has to pay them, and who will that be? Taxpayers of course with higher taxes. The government should have no say in how much I pay my employees, especially if those employees agree to work for the rate that I offer to them. If they further restrict the ability to own guns, more people are going to die because criminals don't obey the law. So yes, lives do depend on it, but not in the way that she says. Families don't need to be in cages, but I don't hear them complaining about criminals in prison. They also don't need to try and sneak into the country illegally. They need to go through the proper ports of entry like everyone else does and wait for their turn because it's unfair to those doing things the right way.
