ESPN’s Pat McAfee isn’t backing down.
The sports analyst stood firm Tuesday after liberal viewers started melting down over his interview with President Donald Trump.
Broadcasting live from the U.S. Marine Corps’ Parris Island, McAfee said he had zero regrets about inviting the Commander-in-Chief on his Veterans Day special.
“For the immediate people that are gonna be mad about that happening, it’s the president of the United States. It’s Veterans Day. He’s the Commander-in-Chief. Obviously, if we have the opportunity to talk to him, we’re going to. And he is hilarious,” McAfee said.
McAfee’s point was simple — respect the office and the troops. But for the Left, anything involving Trump sets their hair on fire.
The President joined The Pat McAfee Show to honor America’s veterans and talk about patriotism, football, and what makes this country great. Fans loved it. Critics? Not so much.
It’s not the first time Trump has stolen the spotlight on game day. Earlier this year, he joined the broadcast booth for an NFL matchup, delivering laughs and energy that only Trump can bring.
Once again, McAfee proved what real Americans already know — giving the Commander-in-Chief a platform on Veterans Day isn’t “controversial.” It’s patriotic.
