Elon Musk Has Mic Drop Moment at Star-Studded Mar-a-Lago Gala

Billionaire Elon Musk joined President-elect Trump on Thursday at the America First Policy Institute Gala. The event took place at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

Musk, recently chosen to co-lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), spoke passionately about his new role. “As President Trump said, what we need is common sense,” Musk declared. “This won’t be business as usual. This is going to be a revolution.”

He will lead the department alongside former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Their mission: to eliminate trillions in government “waste and fraud.”

Trump praised their appointment and outlined their responsibilities. “They will work together to liberate our Economy and make the U.S. Government accountable to ‘WE THE PEOPLE,'” he said.

The president-elect emphasized the magnitude of the task. “Importantly, we will drive out the massive waste and fraud which exists throughout our annual $6.5 Trillion Dollars of Government Spending,” Trump stated.

Musk, who owns X and serves as CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has been a visible supporter of Trump. He appeared at campaign rallies leading up to the election.

Trump highlighted the broader goals of DOGE under their leadership. He said they will “dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies.”

The president-elect also praised their entrepreneurial spirit. “They will provide advice and guidance from outside of Government and create an approach to Government never seen before,” Trump added.
