Chief Justice Roberts Reads Question About Whistleblower's Plot with Schiff to Take Down Trump

During the question and answer period of the impeachment trial, Republican Senators Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, and Josh Hawley asked a great question about the whistleblower's employment relationship with Schiff's top aide Sean Misko.

The question that was directed to the White House counsel was the following:

“Is it true that Sean Misko and Abigail Grace and the alleged whistleblower were detailed by or employed by the National Security Council during the same time period between January 20, 2017 and the present? Do you have reason to believe that they knew each other? Do you have any reason to believe that the alleged whistleblower and Misko coordinated to fulfill their reported commitment to “do everything we can to take out the president.”

This particular question is a killer because it's speaking to the bombshell Paul Sperry report which revealed that Eric Ciaramella and Sean Misko worked together and conspired against President Trump.

I find it very odd that Chief Justice Roberts allowed this question to be asked, but not the question that Senator Rand Paul proposed which didn't even mention the whistleblower.

Patrick Philbin from the President's legal team said that the only real knowledge they have of it comes from the public report that Sperry put out last week.

In the report it is written, sources told RealClearInvestigations the staffer with whom Ciaramella was speaking was Sean Misko. Both were Obama administration holdovers working in the Trump White House on foreign policy and national security issues. And both expressed anger over Trump’s new “America First” foreign policy, a sea change from President Obama’s approach to international affairs.

“Just days after he was sworn in they were already talking about trying to get rid of him,” said a White House colleague who overheard their conversation.

“They weren’t just bent on subverting his agenda,” the former official added. “They were plotting to actually have him removed from office.”
