Border Czar Tom Homan Tells Stephen A. Smith Why Biden Let Illegal Immigrants in On Purpose

Border czar Tom Homan spoke with Stephen A. Smith on Friday, explaining why he believes President Joe Biden purposely allowed illegal immigration.

During “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” Smith noted Biden had sharply changed immigration policies. Obama deported more immigrants than Trump, yet Biden reversed those strategies when he took office. Homan shared his view on Biden’s intentions.

“Why do I think he did it on purpose? Because Joe Biden was vice president under Barack Obama when he had those record removals. Alejandro Mayorkas was a deputy secretary under Obama when he had those removals,” Homan said.

He emphasized how Obama’s administration successfully addressed border crossings. “We had thousands of families come across the border every day. How did we stop it? We built family residential centers. We held them long enough to see a judge, 90% lost a case, 90%, so we put them on an airplane, sent them home and border numbers tanked,” Homan explained.

Homan further detailed his point. “So both those men [Biden and Mayorkas] knew how we solved that crisis. When it came back in, as the now secretary and the president, what did they do? The complete opposite. They didn’t defend. They released. They didn’t make them see a judge, and they weren’t removing them,” he said.

Homan speculated Biden’s motives might have political strategy behind them. He suggested Biden aimed at increasing Democratic influence in Congress.

“I think this administration thought these millions of people are gonna be future Democratic voters, but one of the things Biden also did, in addition to destroying all the programs we put in place to give us the most secure border, he overturned the Trump census rule, which means millions of people that they released in sanctuary cities will be counted in the next census,” Homan said.

He concluded, “Which is going to result in more seats in the House for the Dems. So I truly believe they saw a future political benefit with this.”

Homan accused Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas of dishonesty about border security from day one. In contrast, he highlighted Trump’s swift actions to secure the border.

Despite Mayorkas claiming the border was secure, Border Patrol data shows millions of illegal immigrant encounters since fiscal year 2021 began.

Homan stated Immigration and Customs Enforcement has intensified its deportation efforts significantly, surpassing the previous administration’s pace by threefold.
