President Biden took a swipe at the press during a White House event Sunday night.
After signing the Social Security Fairness Act, he addressed a few questions. One question stood out: “Do you still believe he’s a threat to democracy?”
“I think what he did was a genuine threat to democracy,” Biden replied, targeting President-elect Donald Trump.
The conversation shifted when a reporter asked about Trump’s plan to end birthright citizenship. Biden responded sharply, pivoting to criticize the press.
“I might be the oldest president, but I know more world leaders than any one of you have ever met in your whole goddamn life!” he exclaimed.
The comment quickly sparked reactions online. Journalist Salena Zito joked, “He’s fine guys.”
Conservative communicator Steve Guest added, “What a bitter person.”
RedState writer Bonchie wrote, “This is Washington credentialism in a nutshell… It doesn’t matter that Biden is an abject failure… You see, he knows a lot of people, and that’s all that matters.”
CNN conservative commentator Scott Jennings quipped, “The most civil, decent, and devoutly Catholic president we’ve ever had.”
