As summer fades into fall, cold cups and iced coffee tumblers give way to travel mugs and insulated cups. I’m usually an iced coffee person year-round, but there’s something about a hot cup of coffee on a crisp autumn morning that just feels right.
The challenge, of course, is keeping that coffee hot while juggling commutes, work, and errands. That’s why my go-to during the colder months is a handled travel tumbler. My Yeti mug has been a reliable favorite, especially with its insulated design and slide-top lid that makes sipping easy while preventing spills. The only downside? The price tag.
This week, Aldi is stepping in with a budget-friendly solution. As part of its weekly Aldi Finds, the store is offering a Crofton Double Wall Stainless Steel Mug that looks nearly identical to my beloved Yeti Rambler. True to Aldi style, it’s a fraction of the cost and just as practical for busy mornings.
The Crofton mug offers the same perks as the Yeti version: insulated walls for temperature control, a slide-top lid to limit messes, and dishwasher-safe cleaning. While Yeti comes in nearly a dozen colors, Aldi’s version sticks to four—black, blue, green, and pink.
Size is another difference. Yeti’s Rambler is available in 10- and 14-ounce sizes, but Aldi’s Crofton mug comes in a single 16.5-ounce option, giving you a little extra room. And when it comes to price, the savings are significant. Yeti’s 14-ounce mug costs $35, while Aldi’s is just $4.99.
That means Aldi’s version is roughly 85 percent cheaper than the name brand. With savings like that, I’ll gladly swap my Yeti for the Crofton and use the extra $30 to stock up on more Aldi Finds.
Just don’t wait too long. Like all Aldi Finds, the Crofton mugs are available for a limited time, and they’ll likely sell out fast.
