Scott Jennings Taunts Ex-MSNBC Host For Losing Her Job in Heated Exchange About Tariffs

CNN’s Scott Jennings clashed with former MSNBC host Tiffany Cross in a fiery exchange Wednesday night. The topic started with Trump’s tariffs. But it quickly turned into a heated back-and-forth.

Things escalated when the talk shifted to Trump’s past interest in buying Greenland.

Cross called the idea “a colonizer’s attitude,” saying, “I like it, I’m just going to steal it.”

Jennings cut in. “Steal what?”“Land, land,” Cross replied. “You cannot just go and say, ‘I like it, it’s mine now.’ It doesn’t work that way.”

She continued, “That is what they’re trying to do. And in this new world order…”

Jennings interrupted again, laughing. “What?”

The tension rose. Cross hit back hard, calling Jennings “irrelevant.” “I’m not even talking about you. You’re not a member of government. So you’re irrelevant on that point.”

Jennings wasn’t having it. “You got fired from your job. How relevant are you?”

Cross fired back, “Scott, if you want to engage in personal insults…”

Jennings denied it. “I don’t, but you do.”

Cross shot back, “What you lack in the legitimate point, you make up for it in personal insults.”

Jennings doubled down: “I don’t. You do.” Their exchange grew more intense with every line.

Cross pivoted to criticize Trump’s foreign policy. She said it’s making America “increasingly isolated on the world stage.”

Jennings disagreed and pushed back. Cross wasn’t done—she again accused him of relying on “personal insults.”

She added, “So if you want to engage in personal insults, if I were you, I would reserve that for your party…”

That’s when other panelists stepped in to cut the argument short.
