Fox News Channel had a massive November, one of the biggest months in its history. Meanwhile, MSNBC and CNN have lost viewers since Election Day.
The month featured the historic election between President-elect Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Weeks of critical news followed, focused on Trump’s Cabinet nominees. Americans turned to Fox News for updates, while MSNBC and CNN struggled to keep audiences. Fox News claimed 62% of the cable news audience.
Fox News averaged nearly two million viewers daily in November. No other cable network came close to the one-million mark. ESPN was second, with 741,000 average viewers. It marked Fox News’ sixth most-watched month ever and its second-best November.
MSNBC averaged 720,000 daily viewers. CNN trailed with 482,000. Even combined, they couldn’t outdraw Fox News during this pivotal time.
Primetime hours told the same story. Fox News crushed the competition with an average of 3.2 million viewers.
ESPN came in second during primetime, pulling two million viewers between 8-11 p.m. ET. MSNBC averaged 1.1 million, while CNN managed 725,000. Together, MSNBC and CNN still couldn’t match Fox News’ dominance in the evening slot.
