President-elect Trump had a playful moment at his Florida golf club on Sunday. He jokingly asked a young fan if he could buy her hair “for millions of dollars.”
Trump spotted the child with her stylish hairdo while riding a golf cart at his West Palm Beach club.
Wearing his signature “Make America Great Again” cap and a red quarter-zip sweater, he stopped to greet golfers before turning his attention to the child.
“Oh, I love that girl. I love that hair. I want her hair,” Trump said as he approached. “Can I buy your hair? I’ll pay you millions for that.”
Someone nearby asked the child what she wanted to tell the president. Without hesitation, she replied, “I voted for you.”
Trump then invited her to join him on the cart for a photo. His own hair, often the subject of jokes and fascination, added to the humor of the moment.
During his 2015 campaign, Trump had a woman at a rally touch his hair to prove it wasn’t a toupee. Barbara Walters also pulled on it during an interview to show it wasn’t covering a bald spot.
The golf course where this encounter took place is notable. It was the site of a second attempted assassination of Trump in September.
The New York Post reported Trump also played golf that day with his granddaughter, Kai. She’s determined to beat his “club championship” record, a goal she proudly shared.
Following two failed assassination attempts—one in July in Pennsylvania—the Secret Service has ramped up Trump’s security detail.
