Van Jones Calls Black Model’s RNC Speech ‘Most Dangerous’ for Democrats

CNN senior political commentator Van Jones called Amber Rose’s speech at the Republican National Convention the “most dangerous speech” for Democrats.

Jones was alarmed that Rose, a well-known figure and person of color, spoke at the RNC. He noted her appeal to those in liberal circles frustrated with Democratic policies.

“That was probably the most dangerous speech for the Democratic coalition,” Jones said about Rose’s address.

In her speech, Rose shared her political transformation. She went from seeing Trump as a “racist” to supporting his movement.

Rose, formerly dating rapper Kanye West, explained how her Trump-supporting father urged her to research Trump’s statements and policies. She accepted his challenge and became a Trump fan.

“I realize Donald Trump and his supporters don’t care if you’re Black, White, gay or straight, it’s all love. And that’s when it hit me, these are my people. This is where I belong,” she said.

Jones noted, “That is a young woman of color. She’s expressing what many feel, that being around too many liberals can be stifling. She articulated it very well.”

He added, “And she’s way more famous than any of us up here. I’m going to tell you that. Way more famous.”

Jones warned, “To the extent that these guys are trying to bust up our coalition, that was a bunker buster right there.”

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper also commented on the impact of Rose’s speech. He said, “There are speakers that speak to the room, and there are speakers who speak through the television screen. She speaks through the camera to the audience at home.”

Rose initially made headlines for her Trump support in May. She posted bikini photos with a MAGA hat on social media and shared photos of meeting Trump and Melania.

Asked about her pro-Trump stance, she told TMZ, “Is Donald Trump not for women’s rights issues? He’s trying to Make America Great Again – that’s for women too.”

“We just did our research and we’re not brainwashed anymore by the left,” she added.
