‘The View’ Set to Feature Fiery Conservative After Bipartisan Backlash

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., is heading to The View — and her appearance is already stirring buzz across social media.

ABC’s daytime talk show announced that Greene will join the panel on Tuesday, marking a rare booking of a conservative lawmaker after months of criticism that the program had become one-sided. A recent NewsBusters study found that from January through July, The View hosted 102 liberal guests and zero conservatives.

“I look forward to joining the ladies on ‘The View’ on Tuesday!” Greene posted on X, confirming her upcoming appearance.

Her announcement sparked immediate reaction online. “Oh, this is gonna be gold,” one user wrote. “MTG walking into The View is like dropping a grenade in a hen house.”

The booking comes after the co-hosts recently acknowledged the show’s lack of political balance. Following an appearance by actress Cheryl Hines — wife of former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — Joy Behar said she wanted more right-leaning guests but claimed many were unwilling to come on. “I think that we should have more Republicans on the show, but they don’t want to come on. They’re scared of us,” Behar said.

That remark quickly drew backlash from conservatives who argued that many Republican figures have tried, unsuccessfully, to appear on the program. Social media users flooded the comments with examples of GOP politicians and media personalities who said their requests were ignored.

Now, with Greene confirmed, The View is likely to see one of its most-watched and debated episodes in months — as the outspoken Georgia congresswoman takes a seat at one of daytime television’s most polarizing tables.
